Southern Cross is located on the top floor of the Welch House, and has a spectacular view of the harbor straight out to the open ocean, as well as sunsets over Mill Cove.

Southern Cross has a king-sized sleigh bed, a private bathroom, and air conditioning. The private bath with shower features a dimond inset window and pedestal sink. The bathroom is located across hall and is numbered and locked for private use only. Bathrobes are provided for your convience.

The blue and white floral "wedgewood" wallpaper is complemented by a blue mattelise coverlet, and the bed is crowned by a sheer white canopy that mirrors the window treatments. Watercolors of the Maine coast adorn the walls.

All of our rooms are smoke-free, and amenities include telephone, cable TV, and VCR. For rainy days or cool evenings, choose from our extensive collection of movies and settle in for a cozy stay.

All rates are subject to Maine's seven percent lodging tax and weekly rates are available. All rates apply to two persons per room. There is a twenty-five dollar nightly charge for each additional person.

We welcome well-behaved children of all ages, but we advise parents traveling with small children that the inn is not toddler-proof.

Personal checks and major credit cards are accepted. Advance reservations must be secured with a deposit equal to 50% of the total stay.

Cancellations made at least fourteen days prior to arrival will receive a full refund less a $20.00 processing fee. Cancellations made within the fourteen days will receive a voucher in the amount of your deposit good for a future stay.
