The Welch House Inn is an ideal location for hosting small business meetings or retreats, family reunions, and intimate weddings.

Our spacious common areas allow for casual gatherings of friends and associates in a relaxed, informal setting overlooking Boothbay Harbor.

Private use of the Inn is available September through June, with the exception of certain holiday weekends - please contact the Innkeepers to find out if your dates are available.

We've had elopements and small weddings on our top deck, and small receptions (up to 40 people) in our living/dining area. Business groups can meet comfortably while taking advantage of our wireless internet access. On site catering is available, or you can stroll down the hill to dozens of restaurants, boat trips, shopping, and all harbor activities.

We encourage weddings and family reunions to book the whole Inn, as it makes for a more pleasant experience for everyone involved. Partial room blocks cannot be held without deposit in high season.

Rates for Private Bookings

The rate for booking the Welch House Inn is $2,950 per day (plus tax) in high season, or $2,250 per day (plus tax) in low season. This includes overnight accommodations for a maximum of 33 people in 14 guest rooms, and breakfast the next day, plus a small facilities fee. There is a two day minimum for private bookings in high season.

Our quotes are prepared to flexibly accommodate your needs within these guidelines.

Your 50% deposit guarantees the Inn for your private use from 2:00 PM on arrival date through 11:00 AM on departure date. This includes use of all fourteen guest rooms, as well as use of the living and dining rooms and both deck areas.

For most weddings and family reunions, a deposit is made to reserve the Inn, but guests ultimately pay for their own rooms. As the guests book and pay for their rooms individually, their monies go toward paying the total cost, and you are reimbursed the equivalent of their contributions at the end of the event.

Your guests can select their rooms using our web site, and may either book online or call us to make their reservations. We will take the guests' deposits upon booking, and will collect their balances upon arrival. At the end of the event, we will add up all of the monies paid by your guests for their rooms, and tally it against the total cost. We also add in the cost of your personal room(s) against the deposit you have paid. The resulting balance will be either reimbursed to you, or paid to us. (See example below)

Note: All amounts apply to the specified dates only. If you or any of your guests book additional nights before or after the dates specified, those costs do not apply to the balance owed, and will be charged separately. Note: If your guests book only a partial stay, or if all rooms are not occupied, you will be paying more of the cost yourselves, in order to cover the per day guarantee. It is possible that you could owe additional money on check out, if you personally pay for more guests' rooms, and/or your paying guests book fewer rooms or nights than you expect.
